ok so we agree that the issue of modifying
/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf aka bug #376008 is fixed.
so marking your initial bugreport as fixed.

well it is a very theoretical conffile as we didn't exist previously
and no one ships that, but you are right.

clone your bug report of so that this will be adressed in the next
upload, thanks for your eagle eyes, will move that to preinst.
