Package: kernel-source-2.6.9
Version: 2.6.9-1
Severity: normal

If a program is using /dev/parport0, open("/dev/lp0",
O_WRONLY|O_NONBLOCK) blocks, it should return an error. This causes
CUPS, with or without O_NONBLOCK added to the relevent open calls, to
block permentally on startup.

Hi,

As there has been no additional information provided since my ping two weeks ago, I'll go ahead and close this (very old) bug. If you are the submitter, you're more than welcome to reopen it (or open a new bug) with updated information on the failure.

Best regards,
