Problem with module-compiling

With the recent 2.6.16-1-686- Kernel-headers i've got a problem:
I tried to compile the madwifi-source-modules but i get an error about
a wrong version in include/linux/version.h
I tried to correct this information but the result of the
deb-making-process doesn't install, because of a wrong kernel version
