I didn't know whether you had initramfs-tools or yaird installed (both
create initramfs images) so I asked for both... initramfs-tools is not
the latest version, so you could try to upgrade.

However, someone else already said what the problem is:

/etc/udev/rules.d I suppose.  But from the comment above it seems that
debian-installer doesn't create the correct udev rules yet.
