The problems showing with initramfs-tools may be related to udev issues
as seems to be the ruling theory in that bugreport. Alternatively the
bug might be fixed in 2.6.14 as the note from Erik seems to say (the
note quoted on the wiki page).

Indeed.

When tracking this down it might make sense to separate issues reported
by users og yaird and initramfs-tools, since the later can be caused by
udev problems.

I have extended the wiki page with details on the reasoning for
including the bug. Please comment/correct if my understanding of the
status of that bugreport is wrong.
