Linux: Some Oops, then crash

Hello,

about an hour ago, I attached to my old server box and noticed that Emacs had crashed with a SIGSEGV. This usually means that there is something wrong with the system, so I checked dmesg. And indeed, there were some Oops. I am afraid I have not been able to do a lot of diagnostics because the network connection was quit soon afterwards and I had to reset the box. I could not investigate the panic because I currently do not have a video card built-in.

This is not the first time this happens -- it occurs to me every 2 or 3 weeks, which is a bit unpleasant. I have also had this problem with previous versions. memtest86+ did not report any errors.

This is what ksymoops on syslog after the reboot gives me, do not hesitate to ask if you want any further information. Do you have any ideas what this might be about, if this is a bug, whether to report it to the upstream mailing list, etc.?

Please CC me.

Thanks,

Sören

ksymoops 2.4.11 on i586 2.6.12-1-386. Options used
     -V (default)
     -k /proc/ksyms (default)
     -l /proc/modules (default)
     -o /lib/modules/2.6.12-1-386/ (default)
     -m /boot/System.map-2.6.12-1-386 (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.
