I see the above error when running mkinitrd, and I think it's
related. FYI, the following patch to /usr/sbin/mkinitrd works,
tested for 3w-xxxx, but it should be the same for 3w-9xxx. Just
changed the echo line...
However, this is a dirty workaround and should *not* be included
with a package (it would break all other SCSI hosts):
