Package: linux-image-2.6.14-2-686 Version: 2.6.14-7 Severity: normal i have a (lspci) 0000:00:0f.1 IDE interface: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT82C586A/B/VT82C686/A/B/VT823x/A/C PIPC Bus Master IDE (rev 06) its dma is not enabled and i can not use hdparm to enable it. if i use hdparm, then it tells me i don't have enough permission. i then recompiled the kernel with the attached config. and the dma is enabled now.
