Re: Bug#344416: marked as done ([powerpc] kernel-package breaks mkvmlinuz, rendering 2.6.14-6 kernels uninstallable on powerpc)
reopen 344416
reopen 344413
thanks
I built it locally this nighht, with 10.023, but it doesn't solve the issue,
it now :
$ sudo dpkg -i linux-image-2.6.14-2-powerpc_2.6.14-6.0.1_powerpc.deb
(Reading database ... 62845 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace linux-image-2.6.14-2-powerpc 2.6.14-6.0.1 (using
linux-image-2.6.14-2-powerpc_2.6.14-6.0.1_powerpc.deb) ...
The directory /lib/modules/2.6.14-2-powerpc still exists. Continuing as
directed.
Unpacking replacement linux-image-2.6.14-2-powerpc ...
run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postrm.d/mkvmlinuz
And hangs there, i can also not even --purge the package, even though i
removed all the /etc/kernel/*/mkvmlinuz scripts by hand, altough installation
is fine this way.
I guess it will have to wait for post-christmas ...

Sven Luther
