i couldn't find a linux-image-2.6.12-4 package anwhere, but i can
verify that the kernel log contains this error:

for the linux-image-2.6.12-1-386, linux-image-2.6.12-1-686 and 
linux-image-2.6.14-1-686 kernel packages on my Dell laptop.
