I'd like to propose moving this dummy package into linux-2.6, which with the recent package rearangement seems to be a better place for it.
Yes, actually noticing the conversation on the Debian kernel mailing list, I realized that the links were intentionally delayed for a short time to ensure that the new packages were working, (and that the new naming scheme seemed to work). Otherwise with kernel breakage you could expect many hundreds of 'critical' bugs on any number of different kernel related packages. (As for 'critical', remember that kernel breakage causes *ALL* other programs to 'break'.)
