ok your snipped the cd-record -version output, i couldnt guess that.
urrgs you shouldn't use scsi emulation for your ide drives,
remove "hdc=ide-scsi" from your boot loader append.
curious to see dmesg if it still does not work.

ps ide-scsi seem to have been fixed in the ide-dev tree,
but is known not work reliably for 2.6.X,
anyway ide-cd is faster and the way to go.
