Bug#344754: Lack of ide-disk possibly related to #343042?
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.44
Followup-For: Bug #344754
I have run into the exact same problem on my machine. It will fail to
find /dev/hda2 and dump me into busybox. A simple modprobe ide-disk;
exit fixes things and booting continues normally.
I'm wondering whether this bug is related to bug number #343042. It's the
exact same symptoms, just with yaird instead of with initramfs-tools. I
ran into that bug a week ago when I was using yaird. (I switched to
initramfs-tools today because I've been looking into getting suspend to
disk working on my system.)
