That was exactly the intention with that page.
I believe IRC is quite good at throwing ideas and opinions (too good,
perhaps?), but bad at glancing and getting a quick status on things.
I believe wiki is quite good at tracking the evolution of ideas - with
emphasis on "what is most recent of each idea".
Wiki pages are by design always in flux. So if need of doctrine, then
go for a static web page instead.
My concrete invitation with this email was for you to look at the wiki
page and either have it help you understand the discussion on IRC (if
interacting with that is what you want) or perhaps correct issues you
believe are wrong or weak on that page (either directly if you so like,
or by dropping an email to the list or yell out on IRC).
