Status of 2.6.12-10
Hi,
we've suffered a few build problems on hppa and as a result 2.6.10-8 and
-9 FTBS. What I had prepared as -10 seems to also have been broken in
that regards. Fortuately I noticed this halfway through uploading, and
have withdrawn the upload.
Right now I am preparing 2.6.10-10 again. This includes the following
changes since 2.6.12-6, the last (only?) release that made it into
testing.
Before I do the upload I am going to test the build on hppa, using
paer.debian.org, which Matt Taggart was kind enough to fix up the build
dependancies on.
So in a nutshell, I am targeting 2.6.12-10 for a few hours from now.
Its really a band-aid release to allow all the goodies in 2.6.12-7 to
make it to testing. If you have a 12th hour request please let me know
(though at this rate we'll be releasing -11 tomorrow anway (joke)). But
if you want new features, and really anything other than trivial fixes,
bring on 2.6.13-1 (or will it be 2.6.14-1?), which is in dists/trunk/ in
svn

* [hppa] Remove reference to drivers/serial/serial_core.c.orig
in hppa.patch which causes it not to apply and the build to break.

* [ia64] Workaround #325070 until upstream works out an acceptable solution.
This bug breaks module loading on non-SMP ia64 kernels. The workaround
