Stefan has been doing some tests for this issue. Below are the results.

Yes, this is what we were looking for.

Your test results means the problem has been fixed in 2.6.12 which will
be used in the next version of the installer. So we can forget about the
problem and either point people to the daily builds of the installer or
to the workaround in the mean time.
