How to create renamed linux-*.deb?

[Im not subscribed to this list, so please keep me on CC.]

Hello list,

I recently noticed that all Linux kernel packages starting with 2.6.12
is renamed from "kernel-*" to "linux-*". My question is how do I
instruct make-kpkg to create packages with the new names instead of
the old ones? I tried upgrading to kernel-package from unstable, but
that didnt solve it for me. Googled for a while and didnt find
anything yet, so Im adressing the list.

Clearly there is a better way than to edit some file in
/usr/share/kernel-package/ or /usr/src/linux-source-2.6.12/debian
(after its generated from make-kpkg)?

Please advise.
