The bug might be fixed in another way, too. At least my problem was that
with 2.6 only 3.5 of 4GB were deteced. A similar server with kernel 2.4
shows all 4GB. As *more* than 4GB is relatively seldom nowadays, it
might be interesting to find out, why kernel 2.6 hides the missing 512MB
even if the option is explicitly called "4GB".
Do you have any idea?
