Ah, sorry about that.  I had just assumed they were patches for this
specific problem. I hope the patches turn up soon then (or the fixes
find their way properly into upstream source).

Plenty of value ;) So those of us with this hardware can use their
laptops properly :) I guess you mean whether or not the fix is already
in 2.6.13, which I can't confirm.

Mind you, my situation has now become even more confused.  Yesterday I
updated the BIOS in the hope of fixing other problems (the laptop
regularly freezes after 10-15 mins on battery after being unplugged from
AC power), and now resume from S3 does not work - the entire system
(never mind DRI) is now frozen on resume ;(
