Bug#314563: kernel-image-2.6.11-1-k7: kernel oops accessing disk, hangs process

Package: kernel-image-2.6.11-1-k7
Version: 2.6.11-6
Severity: important

This system has been having problems with processes hanging. Shutting
down the system cannot be done cleanly since it hangs trying to shut
off swap. The problem generally happends durring heavy disk IO. (I
have two IDE drives with several raid1 partitions.)

In syslog, I found the following:

With Microsoft, failure is not an option. It is a standard feature.
