The prebuilt debian kernel 2.6.8-2-386 is booting ok.
The root filesystem is ext3 and it is built in no module.
If it helps the computer is an abit Nf7S V2.0 motherboard.
This is how i am building it fakeroot make-kpkg --revision=custom.1.0 kernel_image.
Maybe someone knows why this is happening.



Lots of problem potentially. It's better to make an initrd and include all the modules you need to support your hard disk.
