Firewire/SCSI, PowerFile C200, errors in 2.6.10 and 2.6.11 stock Debian kernels

Hello,

I searched the archives for my problem and found a post on this
list (message 200501/00485), but no one replied to it.

A friend of mine has a PowerFile C200 DVD changer. This thing
connects via firewire and under 2.4 kernels it registers 3 SCSI
devices via hotplug. Under 2.6.10 and 2.6.11 I get lots of errors
that I can't interpret (yet). I tested stock Debian kernels in
  unstable.

I can't go down to 2.6.8 or 2.6.9 and test though because there is
some stuff that doesn't have proper support there, so even if it
does work, it's not an option. The 2.4 kernel is on an older machine
that's running a pre-built image with 2.4.22, but is not an option
  either.

Any ideas on how to make it work?

Thanks in advance for your help.

For 2.4 kernel (running on another machine which just can't be upgraded):

I don't have any hardware data on this one since it has been taken
offline already, but the 2.6 machine used to run the same software
and it worked just fine until going on 2.6.
