Bug#285077: debian-installer: RC2: cdrom not recognized, RC1: ethernet tg3 and hard drives not recognized

Have you tried with daily built images you may download from
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer (try sid_d-i builds) ?

If it still doesn't recognize one of your devices, can you boot
something like a Knoppix CD, or whatever allows you to use "lspci",
then post the output if "(lspci ; lcpci -n)|sort" ?
