Bug#289679: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686 pivot_root failture
> I've tried using "mkinitrd" and adding "md" and "raid1" to the
> /etc/mkinitrd/modules.conf file, but no change.
I included "ext3" as well (since thats the fs on the root partition) in
this list but that didn't make any difference either.
Searching the web, I found several references to this pivot_root error
if ext3 was not compiled directly in to the kernel. I assumed that force-
loading the module via modules.conf would be sufficient, but perhaps
that is incorrect.
As a side note... I booted it in to a BusyBox shell to play around.
If I tried to mount one of the disks directly, it worked and I could
browse the contents of the filesystem (with the RAID disabled, of
course). It fails if I try to mount /devfs/md/0, though.
