Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-32
Version: 2.6.8-1
Architecture: hppa

Installed latest kernel from testing release.
Previous installations did not use initrd image, this one does.

On boot, everything OK until the following is seen in the console:

 > initrd-tools: 0.1.74
 > pivot_root: No sKernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
 > uch file or dire ctory
 > /sbin/init: 426: cannot open dev/console: No such file

If I boot with an older kernel, everything works fine.
/dev/console exists, and can be written to

I have attached our palo.conf

The machine is a HP D220 , it runs the hppa debian kernel 2.6.5-pa6 just
fine.

We are using initrd-tools version 0.1.74

Thanks
