Intel Ethernet Pro/1000



Hi.

we have an Intel  SE7501BR2 motherboard with two integrated network connections, one Intel PRO/100 and one Intel PRO/1000.

We have installed debian sarge and now we run the kernel 2.6.8.
The Intel PRO/100 is working fine with the e100 driver,
but the Intel PRO/1000 is not detected.

I run
  modprobe e1000
and get the following lines in /var/log/messages

Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Driver - version 5.6.10.1
Copyright (c) 1999-2004 Intel Corporation.

but, it seems that the network interface is not detected:

Is that a driver problem or a hardware problem?
