My previous bug report:
Yesterday (Sunday, April 12) one of the upgraded packages in testing
caused the ethernet card on my HP Pavilion a520n to stop working. I'm
sorry I can't be more specific, but I can say that I ran apt-get
dist-upgrade on Saturday, and that the modem worked on Sunday before and
after Sunday's dist-upgrade. It was only on bootup this (Monday)
morning
that the card ceased to work.
Summary:

Bug: ethernet ceased working after dist-upgrade on Sunday.
Update: Recompiling kernel 2.6 with nvidia ethernet driver compiled into
the kernel (instead of as a module) fixes this problem.

2.6 is said to be working, no feedback since 6 month if 2.4.27 works.
