Bug#286328: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-386: removal of kvm causes system crash
Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-386
Version: 2.6.8-10
Severity: important
My hosting provider installed a recent Debian testing machine, and
inserted a kvm monitor. After removing the kvm the system crashed.
UNVERIFIED. I did not witness the crash; this is our best guess at
understanding why the machine crashed.
Starting to boot:

After removing the kvm system the machine appears to have crashed.
I am now running a 2.4.27-2 kernel and we tested removing the kvm and
all seems well.
