The debian-kernel mailing list is NOT for this kind of question. It is for
discussion of the packaging of the Debian kernel. What needs to be changed
in the description of the list so that people realise this?
Kernel packages in Debian
Discussion about kernels used with Debian (Linux, Hurd, etc.),
available patches and flavors, packaging issues, bug reports, porting
issues, automated tools, and any other questions or patches that
are kernel-related.
Is it that last piece that confuses you? Perhaps it'd be better-worded
as "any other questions of patches that relate to Debian's kernels and
their packaging"?
