Bug#284059: kernel-image-2.6.8: Kernel fails to recognize and mount SMB units

Package: kernel-image-2.6.8
Version: ryt1.0
Severity: normal

After Compiling and using kernel 2.6.8 can't mount SMB partitions nor
net SMB shares.
kernel debugs I/O fail...

The same occours with kernel-2.4.27.

With 2.4.22 (my old kernel) there is no problem.

All kernels was compiled for Athlon: 2.4.22 and 2.4.27 with the "same"
options. (importing 2.4.22 config)

Method for compile: make-kpkg

Looking in kernel.org, smbfs changes was made after 2.4.25...

Kernel 2.6.7 compiled with same options works correctly.
