Bug#284015: kernel-image-2.6.9-1-686: DMA timeout error

Package: kernel-image-2.6.9-1-686
Version: 2.6.9-3
Severity: normal

When doing something relatively HD intensive the task itself freezes for
a while and eventually the whole system stops accepting input for a few
seconds and I get the following in dmesg output:

hda: dma_timer_expiry: dma status == 0x21
hda: DMA timeout error
hda: dma timeout error: status=0xd0 { Busy }

ide: failed opcode was: unknown
hda: DMA disabled
ide0: reset: success
