Bug#279648: kernel-source-2.6.9: no console on vga mode

Hi,

Same problem here, vesafb doesn't work anymore since I upgraded from
2.6.8. I too get a black screen, I tried with and without
CONFIG_FB_MODE_HELPERS, but it didn't help. I also have everything
compiled in.
