Bug#286609: kernel-image-2.6.9-1-686-smp: No entropy from /dev/random
Package: kernel-image-2.6.9-1-686-smp
Version: 2.6.9-3
Severity: important
Under my hardware the kernel will not generate any entropy. Originally I
opened a ticket for exim4-daemon-heavy:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=285371
However after some searching on the web I found this:
http://marc.free.net.ph/message/20041127.025945.14f6f8dd.html
and this....
http://marc.free.net.ph/message/20041130.164827.4eca8420.html
Not everyone is effected. But it might be a security issue for some.
I'll let you decide if you want to retag this as grave or wishlist...
