Bug#285034: VESA with kernel parameter "vga=0x318" blank the screen

kernel-2.6.9 configures with
# Graphics support

CONFIG_FB=y
CONFIG_FB_VESA=y
CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT=y

and the graphics card is geforce2
when giving the parameter "vga=0x318", it will blank the screen when booting
there is no such problem with kernel-2.6.8 or without that parameter.

Also the is problem on my notebook with card "Radeon Mobility M6".
