Bug#282800: Sorry, no CD/DVD-Recorder with kernel 2.6.8 (was fine in 2.6.7)

Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686
Version: 2.6.8-5
Severity: important

When I try to burn a CD, cdrecord refuses with:
- Sorry, no CD/DVD-Recorder or unsupported CD/DVD-Recorder found on this
target.
Same problem with "dev=/dev/hdc".

Please don't go out with a sarge that cannot burn cd's on IDE-CD-Writer.
I use libc6 2.3.2.ds1-18 and cdrecord 4:2.0+a34-2.
