Bug#273913: kernel 2.6.x: buffer underruns with USB cd burners

Package: kernel
Severity: important

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hello,
with kernels 2.6.x (not tested others) I get many buffer underruns with USB
CD burners. cdrecord uses the real time policy, is at high priority and
works with normal SCSI CD Burners. But with USB CD Burners, there is the
usb-storage kernel thread between, which works at nice level 0. Renicing it
to -20 manually, solves the problem. I guess it would be a simply patch, but
I don't know what to change where.

With kind regards
     Torsten Knodt
