Bug#270883: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686: ATAPI/IDE drives not detected with ICH5/i875
Package: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686
Version: 2.6.8-2
Severity: normal
Helo,
Since kernel-image-2.6.5 my Atapi drive isn't detected at boot.
It work perfectly with previous 2.6 (2.6.4).
Sata drives work perfectly as scsci devices (sda & sdb).
My Motherboard is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe with ICH5-R.
I've tried all modes in the bios (enhanced & compatible) with no result.
Hardware raid is disabled in the bios.
Promise chip is disabled to.
I've tested with two differents atapi drives, a CD-R/RW burner and a
DVD-ROM reader.
Thanks in advance for your attention.
