Package: installation
Version: sarge/testing

Platform is Intel PR440FX, dual PPro 200/512, 2 x Intel i82557 ethernet
controllers.

1) Boot Sarge netinstall cd downloaded 11/18/2003.
2) Run through install screens through loading components of Debian
installer->detecting hardware->load modules.
3) Immediately after the load modules screen clears, I get a screen that
says "Feel free to retry" & "continue".
4) Hit continue. Trying to manually configure network either statically or
through DHCP results in "Feel free to retry".

Lsmod shows e100 module loaded: e100 40968 0 (unused)
Attempt to insmod e100 results in "A module named e100 already exists"
Ifconfig -a shows unconfigured eth0 & eth1 interfaces

Please find attached an lspci & dmesg from the Linux (non-Debian) install
currently on the box.

P.S. - The curses screen with the error is incorrectly draw as well. The
right side of the dialog box is broken.

hello,

sarge is about to be released,
your bug report refers to an _very_ old d-i version,
please try out newer debian installer:
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

if you are still having above named problems (very unlikely),
as netcfg has been much improved since,
please reopen bug.

anyways thanks for your bug report.
