Package: kernel-source-2.6.6
Version: 2.6.6-1
Severity: normal

I'm never seeing the line "Resume machine: resuming from <device>" in the
kernel log with a kernel compiled from kernel-source-2.6.6 with SWSusp
compiled in statically.

I noticed this in README.Debian in the kernel source tree:

* Partially modularised software suspend:
...

A quick look at swsusp*.c shows that the late_initcall is gone and the __setup
parameters have been replaced with module_params.

Regards,
  Felix

We dropped the modular swsusp patch from kernel-source and thus

 - the debian don't support swsusp anymore
 - compiling your own kernel with swsusp support works just fine
