thanks for your bug report. I believe this is resolved in kernel-source-2.4.26 2.4.26-6, and also kernel-image-2.4.26-1-686 2.4.26-6.
Could you please check that you have this version.

I think you're right, but I'm using source from Sarge and the fixed version I've seen's in Sid. Probably it was the sight of that that made me think I'd done something wrong.

I'm curious about how the broken version got into Sarge, it suggests to me that there's something wrong somewhere in the build machines and attendant processes.

Is there a way to expedite the promotion from Sid to Sarge for this?


I'm on dialup, I'm not too thrilled with the idea of downloading even more:-\
