From reading lkml I fail to see a consensus on that yet. Both
solutions are in still in consideration: Either requiring root
privileges[1] for CD-writing instead of only write permissions on the
device or enhancing the kernel whitelist. (Making the whitelist
dependant on the the type of device will be probably required.)
