Bug#261195: kernel-source-2.6.7: Cannot mount disk images from hfs[plus] partitions

Package: kernel-source-2.6.7
Version: 2.6.7-3
Severity: normal

An attempt to mount a disk images from an hfs- or hfsplus partition
produces an error message such as

mount -t msdos -o ro,loop /zip/hfs/dos6boot.img /mnt/loop2
ioctl: LOOP_SET_FD: Invalid argument

I tested this with a floppy image and a cd image, both of which
mounted fine when copied to an ext3 partition.

I applied the kernel patches from kernel-patch-powerpc-2.6.7,
version 2.6.7-3.
