Bug#259042: kernel-image-2.6.7-1-686-smp: Refuses keyboard input after some time (esp in vim)
Package: kernel-image-2.6.7-1-686-smp
Version: 2.6.7-2
Severity: normal
This only affects the SMP package, the uniprocessor is fine (except I'm
running a P4, so the SMP version would be good to have.
This bug is most easily found when I run vim. I can no longer type at
the console with a PS/2 keyboard (actually, a DIN keyboard with a PS/2
adaptor)
The machine itself is still running fine. I can SSH into the machine,
and even perform chvt, at which time I can use the keyboard. If I switch
back the original TTY, I can still not type into the application.
Note that this doesn't appear to be a problem with vim (which I've never
had problems with), as I can't switch away from that VT using the
keyboard.
