I dist-upgraded (and this isn't a module-init-tools version problem; the
package didn't get upgraded), reinstalled 2.6.6-2, and it worked.  So, I
guess the problem is with some other package that was updated between June
26 (when I did the last dist-upgrade, and then installed 2.6.6-2) and June
28.  Or possibly some other random thing that triggered it.  I'd say this
bug can be closed, but I'd like to hear if other people are still having
this problem (of course, tracking it down so that we could add a proper
conflict would be nice).
