Apologies, I accidentally sent my reply off-list rather than to the list:Thanks, I had a look on kde.org for mailing lists, for users there are kde and kde-linux and then was able to find them on gmane.org via searching for the lists' email address, but the traffic appears to be quite low. Apart from that I only found developer lists.
Considering that the possible fix I found was implemented in kwin 5.5.1, is Debian KDE likely to be moving beyond kwin/plasma packages with source version 5.4.3 any time soon?
PS, the problem listed at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356580 also seems to apply to kinit 5.17.0-1 in the reported case. I don't know if the kinit/kwin-x11 in Debian unstable have the same problem.
