I'm guessing that this is not normal, and I end up skipping over the
dist-upgrade. Now the list is a lot smaller than it was, but digikam
digikam-private-libs gimp kde-full kde-plasma-desktop kde-plasma-netbook
kde-standard kde-workspace kde-workspace-bin kde-workspace-data
kdeartwork-style kdeartwork-theme-window kdebase-workspace
kdebase-workspace-bin kdeplasma-addons kgamma klipper gave me pause.

Suggestions?

Brad I'm just going to look at your apps and I see gimp & digikam, in Sid both are installable, from what I understand currently all apps are installable. Sid is upstream and I will probably be running Sid for the next few months before switching back to Stretch.

Upstream is a new Debian system and Plasma 5 is a new Desktop and you have old crud on your system.

I'm running 5 plasma-5 systems and they are all clean, what I did was run package 'upgrade-system' and let it have its way with my system and it showed me what a mess I was running, after upgrade system was done I reinstalled anything that was missing with no problem and this was on 5 plasma-5 systems.

On Sept 15th Debian reported everybody upstream should be able to have a clean updated system and they are on spot as far as I can see.
