kde session question

Hello, i read in the session manager window the following:
"In this dialog you can also choose whether you want to restore your
current session when you login the next time."

This sentence refers to the dialog box which appears when one is going
to log-out.
But unfortunately, i receive only the following options:
- end current session
- turn off computer
- restart computer

i run kde 3.5.10, on Debian 5.0.
Is this correct or i am missing something ?
I also checked that the kdm is running correctly.
