Ok. This is great.
If I may interpose a question at this point, would it be possible to
put the local Xwindows session on CTRL-ALT-F7, and just such a remote
login on F8? I assume that would require two instances of KDM on the
local machine.
A pointer to TFM would be fine. :^)
