Ah .. thanks.  While disappointing, I suppose that's "proper".

Still - I imagine the upgrade from one or more of the 3.2.x releases
might be relatively painless.  I second Michael's suggestion that the
possibility be considered if resources permit.  I'll try to find a
spare box and some time, and try some experiments ...

Is the recently announced Sarge release candidate usable for
installing KDE from (for experimental purposes) ?
