Reporting bugs that you know are upstream bugs to Debian BTS will at best cause they to be delayed being fixed by several weeks/months and at worst get them ignored completely. 216228 looks like an obvious upstream bug. Now if it is packaging related, like missing files, files in wrong package, or can't install due to some other package missing report them in Debian BTS. Also file bugs which you don't know whether they are upstream or not in Debian BTS, for example the recent accented character interaction issue with XFree86 4.3. Reporting bugs to KDE BTS is very simple each application has a Help -> Report Bug menu option that you can use, or you can go to bugs.kde.org. Chris
